Rome with Eco City Tours.

Entire Vatican Tour 1:00 pm.

From July 2nd it will make more sense for Eco City Tours to make one tour each day at 1:00 pm starting from the meeting point on our map.

After July 2nd if you need an earlier or later tour do ask us if one is available because we do have bookings for these times on most days which we are still running and there might be room for your group to join us.

The tour fee for the 1:00 pm full Vatican tour will include all ticket entry costs and the reservation fee which allows us to skip the entire public line.

We will use the the tour agency line every day which guarantees no waiting in the public queue. Thats Smart.

Here is the tour fee for the 1:00 pm full Vatican tour.

60€ per Adult (over 26 years old), Tour tickets and line pass included.

45€ per Teenager/Student(11-26 years), Tour tickets and line pass included.

Students under 26 please bring your Student ID
to show to the Vatican ticket office 20€ for children under 10years old. Totally free, children under 6 years old

What you will see:

The Vatican Museums, Rapheal Rooms, Maps room, tapestries room, so many stolen greek and roman and egyptian statues your head will spin.

Dont worry though because we have ways of making this interesting wthout dumbng it down.

Then you will see the Sistine Chapel, most time will be spent seeing the Chapel and talking about it.

After a short break we then enter St Peters Basilica. Believe it or not most people end up liking this the most.

In St Peters Basilica we take a full walk around its shape (when possible) visiting Papal tombs which is often a laugh.

We reveal the most amazing secrets of the Basilica and its art, doorways, mosaics, altars and then finally the most amazing piece of art inside St Peters basilica.

The Pieta by Michealangelo After the Basilica we take you to the Popes Balcony to reveal St Peters Square which is so interesting it could be a tour on its own.

This tour lasts around about 3.5hrs from the time we enter the museums to the time we say good bye to you.

Although the tour starts at 1:00 pm some folks might be a bit late but we do employ young Irish students whose job it is to wait for you. They will then get you into the museums to your group.

But please dont be too late and if you like you can tip for this service if you need to use it.

Our 1:00 pm meeting point is on our map (see more below on the page), we meet on the steps across the road from the Vatican Museums entrance.

You can easily find us if you look for the Yellow brownish umbrella with pictures of Angels on it.

Roman Forum and Colosseum Tour.

We meet every day at 09:00 on the UPPER level exit (upstairs) of the COLOSSEO metro stop, directly across the road from the Colosseum.

We use the fast-track reservation system so as to minimize waiting times. You can use Roma Pass and the Archeologia card.

You can buy Roma Pass inside the Colosseum metro stop. But dont depend on that as they sell out fast. We will take you on a walk through the Roman Forum, the heart of the ancient city Romulus and Remus and the Roman Empire.

From its mythical beginnings to the rise of Christianity, bringing to life the numerous ruins of over 2600 years of history, we will explore the politics, religions and myths of this great civilisation leading into the most famous of the citys monuments: you will enter the Colosseum without waiting in the line.

This entire tour takes around 2 hours and then some.

When you arrive at the colosseum metro stop, go inside and find the escalator going up to meet your Angel.

Look out for our them holding brownish yellow umbrellas.

The Roman Forum & Colosseum admission fee is 12€ for Adults.

Students and Teens and is additional to the tour fee.

EU citizens under 26 are charged a lower price of 7.50€

Pagan Rome, the Ancient Rome era.

Starting at Piazza Del Popolo we will make our way down to The Tomb of the greatest emperor of the Roman Empire, Augustus.

Also stopping at his famous Altar of Peace which brought in an era of peace in the Roman Empire.

Your next stop will be at the Tomb of the great architect Emperor Hadrian , who built Hadrians wall across England.

The tomb is now Castle Sant Angelo which features in Dan Browns Angels and Demons. Then we continue along the River to some old Roman Temples near the Jewish Ghetto. After that we bring you to experience the famous Mouth of Truth.

Enjoy a stop on the Circus Maximus, the site of old Roman Chariot races. The next stop is the Colosseum itself, and along the Roman Forum to Trajans market and over to the "wedding cake" building. Up the Corso explaining its ancient significance, making pit stops at old Roman Columns then back to where we started.
(there is a lot more in this tour which is not yet mentioned here). This is 5 hours long stopping for snack breaks.

Headsets are used on route but we do get out often to walk and get a foot feel for the sites.

We do include as much of Angels and Demons as possible without dumbing down the tour.

Christian Rome - Rome at the end of the Pagan Era

Dont Panic, this is not religious!

We start at Piazza Del Popolo, driving down the Corso to Piazza Venezia revealing all its history. we then enter the Jewish Ghetto and onto St Peters Square.

There we focus on the Illuminati, St Peters play with light and astronomy, not forgetting its catholic importance and how Christianity over came paganism. Next we will take you to the hills of Rome taking in the city from high up getting a panoramic view where its more fresh and less crowded.

Not many people visiting Rome get to do this. After that you will enter Trastevere, the eating district of Rome.

In Trastevere you will be shown a small hidden secret garden in a convent. Your next stop is a small Island in the middle of the River Tiber to visit its amazing history and animal sanctuary, here we will take a rest to soak in all you have experienced so far.

After that we will visit the Cat sanctuary of Rome, then the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and a very old hidden library, then the Trevi fountain.

The tour will finish on top of another hill overlooking Rome and the Piazza Del Popolo.

This tour last between 4 to 5 hrs long and does include more than is mentioned here.

We will of course walk as much as we can get a chance to but the tour still remains a driving Eco friendly tour.
